These fans are advocating for two very real people with a seemingly platonic relationship who are under the public's eye to have a romantic relationship with each other instead. Whether or not they are actually together is up for them to share.

These shows and fandoms are still out there, we just have to look a little harder to find them. And while we do, let us hope more streaming services will come around and bring us back to the glory days of fandom culture.

These days, however, even when I'm lucky enough to become a fan of a new show, I don't get to experience that same excitement, and I believe binge-watching and the disappearance of weekly releases are mainly at fault.

The online activity for each and every one of these fandoms was never-ending. I made friends through those fandoms and developed meaningful connections with them all because of this one common love that we got to experience together every single week for years.

As an avid participant in multiple fandoms, I am talking from experience. I remember what it was like to be a part of major fandoms back when shows had a set week-to-week schedule. #Supernatural, #GameofThrones, or even #Glee, to name a few.

Lastly, when you finally get to the point where you have to wait for new episodes to drop, like everyone else, that is when you find yourself getting intertwined with the rest of the fandom, and forming a deep connection to it.
