at the time it seemed more important that I include the bag of holding in the subplot, but it didn't end up mattering that much so it's kind of just like Withers gave it to Gale just to cause drama. Maybe he did. he's kind of a bitch

Astarion and Eve have this really special friendship specifically because she's three feet tall and he could kill her in an instant and therefore he is comfortable bullying her + her experience with small children has greatly increased her capacity for accepting pointless cruelty
