I can't imagine spending any money on something that isn't strictly a need because of the "what ifs" with everything being more expensive and layoffs happening so often now. I don't even splurge a little when grocery shopping.

I have a job I really enjoy, but it was recently the 1 year anniversary since layoffs were announced at my last job and I was given an end date. I would say it was generous, but it took those months to find a new job and now the market is worse

My sleeve was also done by Trickroomtattoo, so I knew the style and had talked extensively about what I was looking for in this piece. My biggest caveats were bird species I didn't want used lol.

This was literally my first time going to a photo room at any con. I've always been too nervous to lol. But thanks to you I felt confident enough to go to the one at Stratosfur too!

No hate to any of the cons. I understand needing new venues for more space, or limiting registration numbers, or even being stuck another year with a venue even though the con has outgrown the space. Like many, I am having to weigh the time, money, and effort so I'm responsible.
