Finally played RedSec with some friends and wow! Gauntlet might just be our new FPS!

Played a couple of matches of RedSec and while I wasnt expecting much I still felt disappointed. It's literally Warzone. I know it was naive to expect a new take on the BR formula from DICE, but a straight rip off? That's a new low.

Since reddit discourse can be icky imma post my bf6 opinions here. I don't have an issue with the new skins coming out. They don't appeal to me. I won't buy them. I'd rather see skins based on existing military uniforms, but that's a lot more effort than recolouring an existing skin.

Bf6 is so good. I truly believe this is the closest battlefield has gotten to being the quintessential FPS ever. Crisp Gunplay, well designed maps, vehicles are powerful but not overwhelming, etc. I do hope we get more large scale maps, preferably with more destruction physics, but that's it!

Battlefield 6 has been very enjoyable so far! I thought I'd dislike the faster paced map design, but the simplified movement system makes it feel like the perfect blend of CoD snappy gunplay with the hectic chaos that battlefield is known for. UI is absolute garbage tho.

Here in Canada we have two income taxes. One for provincial taxes, one for federal taxes. With this information in mind my question is what's stopping American citizens from withholding their federal taxes next year? "No taxation without representation" seems pretty fitting rn

Weirdest compliment I've ever got was someone telling me how amazing my customer service voice is. Thanks, I think?

Just finished reading Careless People. Wow, the depths of apathy and open contempt Mark and his cronies have for humanity is staggering. The suffering they've caused genuinely rivals some of the worst despots in human history.

I'm tired of watching selfish, evil humans. Many nations are being led into fascism, the oceans have been irrevocably poisoned, our soil is eroding, and Earth's biodiversity is dying as a result of a few people's decisions. These people have Damned us, our children, and our grandchildren.

This is so cool! I'd heard about thorium years ago and it's potential as a nuclear alternative, but all the articles I saw said it wasn't possible. I'm glad to see there's still some out there who know that nothing is impossible if you're willing to work on it as long as it takes!
‘No quick wins’: China has the world’s first operational thorium nuclear reactor
Team working on project reportedly achieves milestone by completing fuel reloading while experimental molten salt reactor was running.

I think it'd be really funny if Canada offered to allow US citizens to immigrate if they declare they're LGBTQ+ allies.

I seriously think France should consider taking the statue of liberty away from the USA.

Earlier this year I did a pixel art of a NB highway sign since I was missing home after not being able to visit for 6 months. This started a whole series and I've since done all 10 provinces and 2/3 territories.

Re-Posting this to add Alt Text.

Just finished Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. Viktor Frankenstein is a deadbeat nepo baby who should've loved his child. Who cares if your newborn is an 8ft mutilated man! That boy could've been a doctor or a poet had he been loved, instead he became as hateful as his father.

I believe it's the solemn right of every adult aged 25-35 to buy nerf guns and use them in their house or apartment. Our parents were right to keep blasters out of our childish hands, but we are children no more!

It hasn't been a week yet, and America has already regressed to a 1930's era mentality.

It's 2025 and I just bought skyrim for the 3rd time in my life.

I dreamed of AI when I was young. I'd wish I could have entirely new art from my favorite artists be created with just a few button clicks. Now I can do just that, with the knowledge that the art created is stolen from the artists I love.

In a world where the elite use tools of trade as weapons of war, the people must learn to trade amongst themselves lest they be dragged into senseless violence wrought by wealthy quibbling.
