Brennan never tries to have an actual conversation about holding a turd. He only ever engages in a meta-conversation about everyone else presuming it's wrong for him to hold a turd. They presume so because it is obviously true, so Brennan can only argue that it's wrong to close the discussion of the issue. He never actually argues that holding the turd is right. If he tried to actually engage with "is there any good reason for me to hold this turd?" he would immediately lose the debate. Whenever you're dealing with people like this, always ask: are they having the conversation, or the meta-conversation?

I have socialized healthcare. Developed an umbilical hernia during COVID and was unable to have it dealt with because everything was shut down. In my case, it became, incarcerated s and I needed emergency surgery. I went to the hospital of my choice and was operated on 4 hours after admitance. Because it was incarcerated, I contracted sepsis and ended up spending a month in the hospital, 2 weeks in ICU, and 2 weeks in a recovery ward. 30 days with s the 1st 26 being IV feeders, tonnes of drugs, and more morphine than I ever imagined. When I was cleared to leave, a grandson picked me up and we simply left. There was never a bill presented for anything at all. Nothing for the surgery, the medical exams, the drugs and endless X-ays & MRIs or the follow-up meeting with the surgeon. That is what Socialized Medicine brings to the table
