I walked away from a teaching career and into tech school. A year and a half later, I got my associates, moved to California with my family and became an artist. I’ve fostered over 50 kittens since, and made friends based on me not work or school. Yay me!
That’s the dog’s kennel, minus the dog’s favorite blankie. The dog is dour feet away, lying on said blankie. He can absolutely see the kitten. Jake and Mason appear to be buddies, in my opinion. I have no idea the impact this will have on the rest of the crew…

My heart melted. Mason purred this morning.

We had a package delivered. I followed the instructions on the box and made the castle for the critters. I think they like it!

The whole fam is back for the weekend. We stopped for dinner& I tried this cider. Strangely champagne-like in flavor and texture.

There is no way to possibly “replace” my son’s ragdoll cat Bubba. But we are adopting this little cutie as soon as he is old enough to bring home. Meet Mason.

We were supposed to have company this afternoon, but plans changed. I still spent time floating in the pool - laryngitis be damned! Jake and I are enjoying the quiet. Soon my son will turn it into a wave pool for a while, I am sure!

Everything survived being transplanted and seems to be thriving. Still need to get the strawberries in, but debating some things with those!

What in the actual fucking hell, America. Don’t even try to ask
me a question about my pregnancy, my son or a god damn thing. Fuck you. #FuckRFK

My bookshelves have double as the most expensive cat perch in the house. Meet Cash - my little man in black.

Step one. It’s assembled. Other accomplishments today? Laundry. Showing my kiddo how to use paddles on the rafts in the pool. Explaining in plain English why no, I won’t be taking a closer look at 47s policies and seeing that they are okay. And it all was going so well until then.

Everyone is spoiled in this house. But everyone had a blast hanging out in the backyard yesterday. We are spring break ready.
April 13, 2025 at 7:05 PM
Damn. I mean. Really? Anyone out there okay with this?

And with that, we put a wrap to the work week.

When you ask your son to put his dad’s new shirts in his room, expecting to find them tossed on the bed. But they aren’t. So you tear through the house looking for them. Only to find your dear child has thoughtfully put the shirts nicely in Dad’s dresser. I guess he’s growing up.

Planning on spending a lot of time outside this summer. Starting tomorrow. With the dog. So we went bougie and got him an insulated water bowl for the patio. Who have I become?

His joy is worth the price of admission.

23 panels on the back of the house. Either 11 or 15 more out front. Have to take advantage of those east and west facing surfaces. Hopefully, everything will be done tomorrow!

It’s me. I’m one of those people. Unless your name is Donald, JD, or Elon.

Spent two days back in Sonoma this week. Couldn’t grab anything from
the old house, but I enjoyed a dinner with friends, a hair cut, and got to stay in the redecorated El Dorado Hotel.
