OfS publishes case report into Applied Business Academy (ABA). There were serious concerns about the Diploma in Education & Training (DET) course. DfE has acted against all DET courses, changing the model. But, as ABA folded, OfS investigation stopped.

It’s not franchising per se that is the problem. Spending time banning the system won’t necessarily deal with the issues. Same applies to requiring registration, but that’s a necessary starting point. Good summary of options from DK this morning.

The most interesting option listed below in this interesting article is the 25% of total provision is franchise. This would cause some issues in the sector.
