Proud, nasty Canadian.

"The boycott is the front line in the fight for democracy. And the lines are holding." - Charlie Angus
That looks so good! You haven't even been beading for that long, but it looks like you've been doing this for years and years. I love seeing your new projects.

It could also be that most fountain pen inks aren't lightfast. A lot of traditional watercolour paints weren't lightfast either, and watercolour is another medium that often isn't taken seriously, the way oils and acrylics are. Media that aren't archival are at a big disadvantage.

An agreement with Saab, would be a nice boost to our industry. Up to 10,000 manufacturing and research jobs! I hope the meeting with the Swedish delegation results in some great things for both countries.

It's surprising how many conservative Christians in America think it's great for underage girls to marry older "Godly" men. For them, "the gay", even if it's two consenting adults who aren't hurting anyone, is definitely worse.

I would imagine that if any jobs at all come to Canada will depend on whether Saab begins manufacturing the Gripen here. Since that still seems to be very much up in the air it's uncertain whether there will be any jobs.

Yup. I was right. The stuff of horror.

That is not what I said at all. I said the EXTREMES are closer than either side wants to admit. Too bad you don't know what extreme means.

Or they share the same handful of Democrat friends who don't have the energy to cut them off.

The political spectrum is more like a horseshoe than a straight line. The two extremes are closer together than either side wants to admit.

He's just trying to get his base fired up about the Democrats who are on the list so they'll forget about him. His other distractions haven't been working well enough.

Yet another good reason for Canada to foster closer ties with Sweden: It will give Hegseth the creeping horrors to have an entire nation of Beardo Pagan Allies right on the US border. 🤣

Wasn't there an X-Files episode where an entire, creepy village had CJD because they were cannibals and one of their victims had CJD and they all contracted it after eating him? Prion diseases are the stuff of horror, even for non-cannibals.

I thought Gros Michel was straight. Cavendish bananas are pretty curvy.

I just found out the Swedish King and Queen are coming to Canada next week, with a political and economic delegation. Exciting! I hope great things will come of this. Like an agreement to get the Gripen for Canada. When we have our new planes and over-the-horizon radar, we can help you keep watch.

Ooooh! THAT Dutch herb. Say no more. 😉
November 13, 2025 at 8:44 PM
I'm easily excitable. I don't need my breakfast to be that exciting. 😄
November 13, 2025 at 8:43 PM
What green Dutch herb is this?
November 13, 2025 at 8:20 PM
It is an excellent breakfast cheese.

What a relief! ☺️

The soup guild is stranded! But then they are on a planet with soup rocks, so I guess it'll all be OK.

German butter cheese, on a crusty German-style breakfast bun makes an excellent and tasty start to the day.
November 13, 2025 at 6:32 PM
I'll be happy to eat her share of German butter cheese.

Spiced gouda (the one with cumin in it) is pretty tasty.
