Announcing a game’s existence only 6-8 months before it’s out is the way to go. I kinda get it though that it’s also a courtesy to the rest of the industry. Get their releases in order knowing that’s when the asteroid hits.

Its awful. There’s specific cats I follow on different platforms, so at least I know those are real.

Getting back into 40k's felt pretty cathartic over the past few years. It's more relaxing to hobby and roleplay in a future with no hope than have to deal with the present.

I've seen a couple around my city, and every time I catch one out of the corner of my eye it's like I saw an object that gave up rendering halfway through.

I think on some level it's just important to show that there are more of us out there. Showing people they're not alone is a benefit in and of it self to build resolve. We're going to be going through this for awhile, might as well band together.

Just an aside, but one of the most famous British commando raids was using a whole Destroyer as a VBIED during the St Nazaire Raid. This stuff happened all the time in WW2.

This aligns with the administration's general vibe of doing fascism aesthetically, but not fully committing to it. Like raiding that one apartment building with troops and helicopters to produce a video, but not doing that at scale. At least not yet.

It's an old game at this point, but Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds (for PC) did have a full Gungan faction. It was basically Star Wars Age of Empire II.

I remember when news broke of Lula getting released and I saw videos of people shouting out their windows "Lula Libre!" Felt very hopeful for the future.
