Its head is white with a deep blue stripe from its beak, over the top of its head, and terminating in long feathers that extend beyond the back of the heron’s head. Its long, sharp beak is blue-grey on top and yellow-orange on the bottom. It has small yellow eyes. The heron is outlined with sketchy white lines.
