Right! I am an enzyme engineer and tend to think more about single molecule or reaction scale themodynamics than process scale, but I see your point that lignin is currently more problem than opportunity. Odds seem good to me of that changing in coming years, if less for energy than for materials.

Biofuel from lignocellulosic waste makes good sense, especially where electrification is not a good option yet (e.g., aviation), but biofuel as primary agricultural product is a poor value proposition.

Nebula is mostly only relatively high-effort videos from career creators. Some creators post only to Nebula, most post early or extras. There are no ads and videos are censored for copyright and content much less. Of course the selection is less but the quality is better. Overall worth it imo!
