one of the best books i’ve read tbh, and im glad i read it at such a right time

4. Ultraman Omega
seeing the public opinion of the show flip in real time as a day 1 defender was one of the most validating experiences I’ve had with a weekly show

insanely good show i really enjoyed it

3. Ultraman (the manga adaptation by Daiji Kazumine)
almost completely different from the og show (for the better or worse with so much artistic liberties taken) but it’s never grueling to read which should count for something

2. Strange Pictures (by Uketsu)
overall just kinda okay but considering how much Uketsu improved from Strange Houses 1 to this and eventually to Strange Houses 2 I’m gonna give him a pass

good show but outside of Doctors the other arcs are kinda lacking I feel like (which can’t be helped, considering the series’ length)

Under normal circumstances I would’ve said most of Maijo’s works (and for good reasons), but they’re no-brainer picks, and I’ve already talked about them a lot more than needed.

So let’s go for the hard choice.
