Well, 7 seasons are out now, and the 8th and final season is due to release next year, so the end isn't far off. Season 4 is where things start getting really good, and so much changes with the story moving forward. I'm sure you'll both enjoy it.

Maybe have him sit down and watch Outlander? Loved the books, and love the series. While there are a few changes, the casting, and storytelling was spot on! If he tries complaining, let him know that all the good stuff, such as duels, old world combat, and even a but of spy craft are in the series.

As I stated in the post, pick 2 that strike your fancy and one of them has to be one of the long ones, like Project Prometheus or Gaia's Champion. The 2nd story can be one of the shorter ones.
