My worry about the CBs is strictly in the press. Feels like a lot of times teams get out easier than they should because they have an extra man who should often be covered by one of the CBs stepping forward. Of course another part is the guys ahead of them taking bad angles and not cutting off lanes

Little bit of a double edged sword though. How do you earn the right when you’re playing in a system that you clearly don’t have the capacity to play in? The CBs don’t know when to step and who to step to. Midfield is consistently overrun and all over the place. Striker not playing well. Weird times

At what point do you play a system that better suits the players you have available? There has to be a balance between trying to implement your system and playing to the players’ strengths, right? Also, I get not throwing kids in when they’re not ready. But you’re telling me none could contribute?

Out of curiosity, where would Amad rank on this list per 90 from RWB? Also, any chance you could do progressive dribbles as well? And what do Dorgu’s statistics look like in both of those? Know it wouldn’t necessarily mean much since his would be from a different team/league.

Agreed and I don’t think it’s that hot of a take. This has always been the case of Pep teams, even back to the Barca teams that are arguably the best of all time. The actual defenders have rarely had to defend in dangerous situations and when they do they get found out.
