Give it about three weeks of training to get used to. I remember the start is the roughest. Most important is correct form. Weights and everything else is something to worry about later.

Ah yes I remember my first lesson. I legit fainted. Remember to eat something for energy. Something small and easily digestible and not immediately before. That was my mistake.

Also if you land before the layover flight has finished loading baggage, as in your bag is taken out of the plane and is being put in along with passengers still freshly coming on the plane you are almost guaranteed to make it. Cause unloading your bag is much more work than waiting a bit.

Depending on the airline of course, but I once had a delayed flight with a tight layover (1.5 hours) and the flight staff notified before landing that passengers connecting (my layover) were going to be disembarked first before all other passengers to ensure connecting flights.

The first one. 7 hours being stuck in an airport is a looong time. Even with tablets, phones, or books you will need to eat and drink at least 1 full meal in that time, perhaps 2 and that’s expensive.
The 2 hour layover is usually long enough and you’re usually given priority if you are delayed.
