💬 Today, I held my advice surgery in Charlton Hayes, at Aerospace Bristol.

Local people raised a range of issues they’ve experienced, many of which happened to centre around equality and fairness.

As the MP for Bristol Parkway, it was an honour to present a wreath today on our community’s behalf for #PoppiesToPaddington.

This powerful initiative sees wreaths from communities on GWR’s lines sent to the war memorial in Paddington.

Thanks, John, for taking care of ours.

Thank you to brilliant local volunteers selling poppies and raising funds for the Royal British Legion.

A real community effort, with such heart put into displays and creations, like this knitted soldier.

Glad to support Tricia at Co-op Downend and Anne-Marie and Caroline at Tesco Bradley Stoke.

✈️ 📣 I welcomed our Türkiye Typhoon deal, the role the great team at Rolls-Royce Filton will play & asked the Chancellor how integral she sees defence as an engine for growth.

She’s already boosting defence spend - 2.6% of GDP by April 2027 - good for jobs & national security.

❌ no-fault evictions
✅ private rented sector database
✅ right to request a pet & more

I sat on the Bill Committee, scrutinising the draft legislation, a year ago.

Reform and Tories voted against better renters’ rights.

Labour fought and won.

✈️ Great news that our community will benefit from Labour Govt’s Türkiye deal to provide 20 Typhoon fighter jets worth up to £8bn.

Rolls-Royce Filton will be the main engine maintenance hub and critical engine element producer.

✅ Local jobs and growth.

📸 Meeting @lukepollard.bsky.social on this.

✈️ Proud to welcome Transport Secretary Heidi Alexander to Airbus in Filton today.

🤝 Heidi’s visit comes as Airbus welcomes an order of 100 A321neo aircraft from VietJet, which can operate with up to 50% Sustainable Aviation Fuels and a goal of up to 100% by 2030.

✅ Jobs. Growth. Clean energy.

🍻 Great to welcome all to Pub Politics at The Beaufort Arms in Stoke Gifford.

Doing politics differently, my events bring people together in a welcoming environment - and support local pubs.

While some divide, I believe in coming together, listening (agreeing or not!) and focusing on what unites.

I’m very sad to say that my Mum, Ruth Hazelgrove, passed away last weekend, aged 61.

I will always miss her.

Family was the centre of her world. She also championed others, with a strong sense of social justice.

I will always be so proud of her and in awe of her strength.

❤️💔

☕️ Thanks all who joined ‘Coffee with Claire’ in Charlton Hayes today.

Doing politics differently, one of my favourite things about these events is seeing people meeting for the first time.

We discussed what people already love about the area and how we can make it an even better place to live.
