The large battery on the Buses can be used Energy Storage:

In summer or on weekends the buses aren't used. District can store Wind, Solar or Fossil Fuel energy and sell back to the grid when needed.

Buses can be used as a mobile battery generator during natural disaster or power outages

EV chargers installed at bus depots
Buses charge overnight and during mid-day breaks at depot
Buses can run 97% of all routes in US in Spring - Fall
Winter range is 30-40% less in coldest parts of country

Pros of Electric Bus

- Reduced Asthma Rates & Asthma Attacks
- Improved test scores in Math & Reading
- Less expensive maintenance & fueling cost
- Quieter; better for driver to control kids behavior & for sensory sensitive students
- Smoother; no lumpy Diesel engine leading to more alert drivers

There are 500,000 electric #schoolbuses in the United States.

12,000 of these buses are electric or will be by 2026.

Over 90% of these buses are Diesel.

I will agree that Ludwig has a point, people's feeling don't line up with economic numbers.

The article also looks at a different measure for inflation than CPI.

It neglects to say CPI is a weighted measure. Items purchased every day like food & clothes count more than yachts and second homes.

CPI can undercount housing inflation in years of low home sales, but is otherwise accurate.

He accurately states Effective Unemployment rate is 23.4%,

What is effective unemployment? Earn below $21,150 a year or work part time? Effectively unemployed.

Ludwig has never released a graph allowing us to compare this number to history.

The headline should be "Economic Data is Accurate, but the way we look at it is wrong." But that doesn't get clicks.
