I'm Jewish but I was raised Catholic. IMO, there's a lot of cultural similarities.

I've also noticed that a lot of Jewish converts have Catholic backgrounds.

Another fun fact:
Mixing milk and meat* is forbidden according to Jewish law. Classical rabbis were concerned that using almond milk with meat might confuse people. As a result, they made a rule that almonds must be placed around almond milk at a meat meal.

I also use "y'all" when translating rabbinic texts (e.g. The Talmud) into English. It just works better.
