The piano lesson was visually stunning, but it will always work better as a play. That said, they did a fantastic job adapting it into a screenplay. The actors were incredible at bringing the characters to life. I appreciated the emphasis on calling on the strength of our ancestors. Well done.

As much as I feel for the Shaboozey snub, Willie Jones did try to give him a heads up — but people told Willie to hush.
