Hands-down funniest guy in the sport once he got off Visma’s media training leash! HBD

Visma has quite a few good signings for next year. They’re coming out better in/out for transfers, aside from Benoot.

Is there really inspiration to improve if you know you’ll still be racing for second place most of the time?

I know this is mostly PR speak from Bernal, but it would be obviously demoralizing.

It’s time for the UCI to put their foot down on state sponsors or names outside of national teams. Simple enough to put an end to an obvious form of sportswashing.

Lol, genuinely not sure what point this is trying to make other than ragebaiting. Did you actually look at any of the numbers or just ooh-green-checks?

Yes, it’s the circuit. The same thing happened in GP Montreal this year which is also a circuit… a few riders were pulling off to quit every lap. Haha.

Wouldn’t call it unwatchable, but current teams and riders really don’t cooperate outside their teams anymore. It’s all about “the plan,” Jumbo Visma-style.

If history is any lesson, we might not even be talking or thinking about Seixas at all in a few years.

Pogi hasn’t raced Euros since 2021… clearly, it’s not important for a successful season to do (or win) both.

I’d love to see more distinct fields between Worlds and Euros.

Yes, but he signed before Simon Yates joined the team in 2025 (and immediately won the Giro), and before Matthew Brennen stepped up to perform at the WT level.

Changes in the team talent landscape altered how well his ambitions fit with the team, not the other way round.

He’s been pretty vocal about wanting leadership opportunities. Does he get that at Visma with Vinge, Yates and others all in the mix?

The Movistar talent pool is a lot smaller, so he’ll potentially get more chances to lead there.
October 3, 2025 at 2:27 PM
Maybe, but it seems more likely that he didn’t see the kind of leadership chances he wanted at Visma moving in to next year, considering their signing strategy and talent pipeline.

Love these calendars! ❤️

It suits him, but I’m not convinced he’s keeping his form through next year just yet.

She was amaaaaaazing!! I was blown away by her approach to the entire race.
