Had a lot of fun working like this again so incorporated my more current design sensibilities with my Pidgeonary style from 7 years ago and designed some cute little wooden pins

Really trying to be loose and underwork it to find textures and a style I like, it’s nice feeling it out.

Been trying to find a style I like for the project I’m working on, so far a more painterly style feels better

Combatting my art block by doing a little sketchbook page of palm nut vulture studies.

Currently self teaching myself photography as my 2025 goal of relying less on the internet for reference images.

Today I saw the UK’s smallest bird, a lovely gold crest who moved so fast and was so far away I only managed to get this pic (cropped and zoomed)
