How is this relevant to whether or not you would do a good job welding in a Navy shipyard? Or fixing a computer in the Pentagon? I guess the Trump administration believes merit is a synonym of loyalty to our Fearful Leader.

I'm thinking the reason many conservatives hate fact-checking is because "alternative facts" aren't considered actual facts. I, however, like to know what's true and what isn't. It helps me plan my day. *grin*

I’ve always believed that history turns slowly, like an ocean liner — except when it hits the occasional obstacle in its path. The question is, after January 20, will Trump be the iceberg that sinks our country? Or is he just a strong ill wind we can tack across to keep the ship sailing forward?

I think there’s some time before Facebook descends into madness and hate. In any case, I don’t get news from Facebook, i just hang with friends. But when the first random hate post hits my feed, I’ll be gone so fast scientists will be calling to ask me how the hell I broke the light speed barrier!

Trump supporters actually view his implied threats of military or economic action as a legitimate negotiating tactic when attempting to force an ally to give you their land or property. I guess Putin already moved “do what I say and nobody gets hurt” from gangster movies to international diplomacy.
