I appreciate your reply. Crypto is difficult to understand. BTC for example, performs no function. It is not even very transactional. It's more like gold in that it stores value. And, unlike gold, it has an absolute finite supply - 21M coins. Other crypto actually perform services on the blockchain

US currency is only real because we accept it as that. It has no real or inherent value. BTC is the same. It's real because people, major financial firms and governments accept it as real.
