It’s @stepchange.bsky.social #DebtAwarenessWeek, and stigma still prevents people from seeking support when struggling with debt repayments. Concerns over credit scores, fear of being a burden, and lack of trust in providers all play a role.

This #DebtAwarenessWeek, organisations such as @stepchange.bsky.social are challenging the stigma around debt and highlighting support available. Many, like Barbara from Castle Vale, are trapped by debt left with nothing after paying for essentials.
