He will never leave me, and I’ll never let him become a taboo topic. Yet, every since december as the new year approaches I just feel like I’m standing at the end of the ocean watching the tide go out and my grandad is getting further and further away.

My grandad passed four years and I’m still learning how to allow two separate feelings to co-exist. These last four years have been absolutely heart breaking and all I have wanted is to stay rooted in 2020 when I last saw him. Yet… the last two years specifically have seen some of my BEST memories.
