And so, it is my privilege to give to you a poem that first ran in the 1925 Washington County News-Times, a paper my great-grandmother was also writing for at the time.

I don't take "no you can't see that" very well.

This definitely stretches the definition of Portland, but Jim Dandy Farm Market in Manning, just outside of Banks, has free admission, free wagon rides, a maze, and a mini haunted house. Photos by me, feel free to use 'em if wanted. www.pumpkinpatch.farm

I have acquired a 1994 "Spelling Ace" computer. Between this and my electric typewriter, I'll be unstoppable.

I have to do exercises 5x daily while recovering from a back injury and the office dog Tank is *thrilled.*

It's possible leaving newspapers with my phone number in them at the local tavern was a mistake.

I took a lot of photos at the Banks BBQ. This one, at the frog jumping contest, is my favorite.

Something truly incredible has happened here in the city of Forest Grove. News in the Grove, my bid to bring a full-service, 1970s level of newspaper back to this fine city hit... this milestone, completely by coincidence.

Holy hell: The Oregon State Police just issued a correction today to a press release from July 8 to note that the person declared dead in a Linn County crash is not, in fact, dead.

Amazing. (The crash was extremely serious and resulted in a state highway being closed)

Really sad story out of Forest Grove today where nine cats were killed when a home caught fire while no one was home.

But, I did get to witness one kitty, who was extremely upset, get rescued by two AMR medics and a neighbor.
