I end with a warning Ben Franklin issued at the 1787 Constitutional Convention. I think it describes perfectly what America is meant to resist, and what we are protesting tomorrow. NO KINGS. 6/7

“We have our bodies,” preached King. I hope you will show yours tomorrow—undeniable flesh and blood lining the streets for love of country, of freedoms, and of checks on power. 5/7

Keep it peaceful—no, make it peaceful. Active effort will be required. For protests attract every manner of troublemaker. Even a single act of violence across the country will contribute to a narrative that discounts us. Thus I say, make it peaceful. Make it joyful. Make it good. 4/7

I believe tomorrow will be the largest day of protest in American history. If not, it will come close. It is a chance to show those who control and abuse every branch of our government that all is not well. 3/7
