Any idea why the opposite seems to be happening, and being normalized?

Who knew serotonin plays a key role in placenta development?
We learned in fertility treatment. It was VERY hard for my wife to wean off her SSRI, I remember her explaining bad "brain tremors". We got 2 kids later w/o any treatment, so we are living happily ever after, but this is needed research!

quick correction: The shot was 200 yards not feet. Hundreds of thousands of US big game hunters have a similar bolt action rifle & could make that shot on a stationary target.

It wasn't necessarily an expert shooter.

I used to do it with my sons in a secure hiking backpack thingy. It's amazing and not too hard if you're in fairly good shape. Not good for those afraid of heights though.
