A search engine searches. And presumably comes up with the same answer when asked again. You can not count on a LLM to produce the same information twice. It can't be relied on to search twice in a row, making it pretty shitty at being a search engine.

Gemini could search for the score, but it chose to make it up. It didn't search. You can't count on it as a search engine. It makes things up.

I could ask my girlfriend the score instead of Gemini. She has the capability to Google it, but chooses to make it up instead. Is she a search engine too?

This happened 10 days ago during the first quarter of OKC-MEM game 1.
