What followed wasn't just a Trump-led assault on our democracy. It was also a failure of the Dem Party to respond. Garland's incompetence killed accountability. Biden sidelined democracy reform & Senate Dems failed to pass it.

5 years later, Trump's goons are trashing our democracy from the inside.

Say what you will about people calling their Senators newly horrifed to demand action, that's at least a theory of politics with a clear mechanism for change and a clear way to organize neighbors, unlike smugly posting that the American project was always fascist & asking why anyone is surprised.
