Trump's post is a textbook example of narcissistic psychopathy. In saner times he'd be institutionalized.

Leavitt is embarrassing. She stands there pretending she's providing the press with detail around the administration's actions, but all she really does is cover up lies with more lies in a smarmy, flippant sort of way.

Whenever I see these incomprehensible pardons, my first thought is "What's in it for Trump?" Every move he makes is for his own personal benefit -- more money, more votes, more adulation, more retribution, etc.

Once this Trump nightmare (hopefully...) ends, I promise to contribute to any fund whose goal is to tear down this monstrosity and return the WH to the way our founders envisioned.

Damn. "He's just joking and having fun" was Number 2 on my list of BS answers Johnson would respond with to the pooping question. Thought sure he'd invoke the "This is what you want to talk about when left wing terrorists are destroying America?" BS.

Witkoff would likely support handing over Quebec to France because, you know, most Quebec citizens speak French.

Absolutely true. He reliably nods off at events where he's only a participant but can sit at attention through lengthy cabinet meetings where everyone's goal is to be the top suckup for the day.

For WSJ the rush to get eyeballs on a story is more important than its veracity. Retractions are morally cleansing -- their lazy and sloppy reporting gets corrected for the record. But the damage is done as people looking for info to confirm existing biases have already spread the lie far and wide.

Johnson has now reached the Karoline Leavitt level of lying and deflection.

At its essence, people in high federal government positions who make idiotic statements like this should be forced to resign. That would be the best way to "empower Americans."

As usual, everything out of Miller's mouth is a lie. Kennedy's not a health expert. The credible people at the CDC are leaving because he's clueless and a threat to public health. The studies he cites to support his wacky views show he has no understanding or respect for the scientific method.

Yeah, I'm going to take medical advice from a guy, with degrees in American history and law, diagnosing kids with mitochondrial disease on first sight while walking through airports.

Don't buy her "I was cheated" sob story. Saying that Alaska was getting a special concession on wind/solar projects to justify voting for the big, ugly bill and then blaming "somebody" for the concession going away was always the plan. She's a MAGA cult member, slavishly doing Trump's bidding.

Let's just admit what's become obvious: The Supreme Court is part of the executive branch of the US government.

Condemnation of Israel's attack is certainly now warranted since the experts on "unprovoked aggression" have chimed in.
June 13, 2025 at 2:01 PM
The failure of interviewers to not call out or follow up on his obvious lies is so infuriating. The notion of courtesy and respect for the person who holds the office of president is null and void when that person's comments are a continuous stream of nonsense and untruths.
May 23, 2025 at 1:48 PM
Trump has been fixated on a Mar-a-Lago version of AF1 for years. Would bet Bondi and her stooges have been working on a way to justify this since Jan 20th. Doubt that Qatar is providing it for "free." Receiving personal gifts and favors for influence is the only kind of deal that Trump is good at.

When history books are written about the downfall of democracy in America, Roberts should get his own chapter. The ultimate enforcer of our constitution failed us, and no amount of backfilling about "independent judiciaries" checking presidential excesses can undo what he and his cronies have done.

This is an absolute lie, and it doesn’t take a degree in immunology to find information that proves it’s a lie. This guy is an ignoramus and should NOT be anywhere near US health policy, let alone in charge of it.
May 1, 2025 at 1:21 PM
Trump, thanks to Senate confirmations, has surrounded himself with cabinet member toadies who have no equal. The highlight of his day is having a love-in cabinet meeting where the main goal of attendees is to see who can ingratiate themselves the most.
April 30, 2025 at 9:46 PM
This is where we’re at. A president using his power to overtly demand an interviewer agree to a blatant lie he has repeatedly told. The message is clear: The truth is whatever Trump says it is, and questioning that “truth” means you’re unqualified, a fake newser, disrespectful or just plain nasty.
April 30, 2025 at 2:18 PM
Every word out of Leavitt’s mouth is pure idiotic nonsense. The “buy American” line, given that a huge portion of the products Amazon customers purchase are not made in America, is foolishness. And the idea that they will be in the future shows complete ignorance of how global economies work.
April 29, 2025 at 2:25 PM
If he thinks Trump will even see/read, let alone act on, the “very strong letter,“ he’s more out of touch with what’s going on than anyone could imagine. This is not Democrats vs. Republicans quibbling over legislation. It’s democracy vs. oligarchy.
April 28, 2025 at 1:42 PM
Must read from HCR. While the media focus on the cruelty, lawlessness and ineptitude of Trump’s administration, the corruption, bribery and graft going on behind the scenes is mind boggling.
April 28, 2025 at 12:47 PM
We need to stop calling Alito and Thomas Supreme Court justices. They're political hacks who have sold their souls for money and favors.
