In 1981, Marianne Bachmeier shot the murderer of her 7-year-old daughter. Klaus Grabowski, a 35-year-old butcher who had already sexually assaulted 2 girls previously.

Bachmeier pulled out a Beretta during his trial nd emptied 7 bullets into Grabowski's body, killing him instantly.

Sogen Kato was thought to be the oldest man in Tokyo in 2010, but when officials went to congratulate him on his 111th birthday, they uncovered mummified skeletal remains lying in his bed.

Mr Kato had been dead for 30 years.

In 2007, US Navy SEAL Mike Day was shot 27 times by al-Qaeda militants in his legs, arms, abdomen, buttocks, scrotum, and then knocked out by a grenade. Not only did he survive, he managed to shoot dead all 4 of the militants and walk away unaided after he regained consciousness.

On August 30, 2015, Jolee Callan and ex-boyfriend Loren Bunner went on a hike at Cheaha State Park in Alabama. Shockingly, Bunner fatally shot Callan and pushed her off a 40-foot cliff during the hike. The tragic event was documented in a photo taken by Bunner just before the tragic incident.
