This is false reasoning even if one personally opposes deportation. Jesus also said render unto Caesar. The government has a responsibility to protect its citizens & uphold the rule of law; that’s different from how Jesus exhorted private citizens to freely choose as individuals to be charitable

They’re not filming the actors, or reshooting scenes.
Just adding “pickup” scenes, such as the outside of a building, or a scenic view.

No, those are average costs to employers of employer- sponsored plans, not average premium amounts that employees pay. Individual employees contribute an average of 17% of that premium ($1,401); families contribute about 29% ($6,575).

$10K is if you’re self employed. Many get health insurance free from their employer; over 65, premiums are very low; still have to pay a portion of medical expenses up to an annual maximum. But those with lower incomes get subsidized by the federal govt via the Affordable Care Act or Medicaid.

He can’t pardon himself for state crimes, though. Only governors can do that. Presidents can only pardon people for federal crimes.

In contrast, the Supreme Court’s immunity decision applies to state crimes as well as federal crimes.

Even if the Supreme Court opinion accompanying its decision on immunity had said a President can pardon himself, since that issue wasn’t before the court, wouldn’t that statement be dicta, hence non-binding? Or is the self-pardon idea integral to its reasoning on immunity?

You’re merely expressing a usage preference. Linguistics researchers agree that “none are” is neither ungrammatical nor “incorrect.” Plenty of universally accepted constructions aren’t logical. Consider, e.g., the use of “am” and “are” with “I,” as in, “I am running late, aren’t I?”

No. If he proclaimed them citizens, his proclamation would have no legal effect. It wouldn’t help them. They would still be treated as non-citizens by all US authorities — local, state, and national.

Why? Because even a liberal Supreme Court would invalidate such a move by Biden, & he knows it would be illegal.

Under the Constitution, only Congress has power to decide immigrant citizenship requirements.

The President’s remit is to “take care that [Congress’s] laws are faithfully executed.”
