Googled my nearest Uniqlo to buy some autumn essentials and it turns out to be in Battersea power station. Which looks impressive - but is literally Dubai on Thames. Designer shops and fake neighbourhood delis.

My cat which has been totally useless and never caught a single thing all her life, has turned ten and has caught two mice this autumn. It gives me strange hope that I might learn to do a cartwheel or a pull up in my sixth decade. Keep growing!

Having one of those evenings where I glance at the news and it's just all too much- Ukraine, Gaza, drought, floods. Hard to think about all this sometime. I water my garden and feel so sorry for my young people.
