A hazardous but beautiful road. I can’t help thinking of William Horwood’s moles in the Duncton Wood stories. It only lends its name to the books but I like to think of their relatives tunnelling away around the woods and fields of #Duncton.

18 months after giving up a career - a rollercoaster of battling cash flow, standing awkwardly at exhibitions & network meetings. But also selling work, getting exhibited, forming an alliance with a great photographer & doing what I love. There’s never a good time so perhaps just do it? #hope #art

A very similar thing happened to me twice in a basement Georgian flat in Bath.
Footsteps down the corridor, door opening, rustling duvet then pressure on my chest. It was so real and terrifying. Would Ciaran say it was sleep paralysis? I prefer the sceptical explanation to Fuseli’s!
