Yes, this was my thought too. They’re collecting money for something, and that thing tends to be either private funds or war. But lots of money gets “lost” in wartime too. So it might be both. One thing’s for sure, they’re not looking for fraud.

Find a local community and ask what they need help with, without you having to leave your name. Queer communities, for example, have a lot of experience with “silent” supporters. We know the drill. You can absolutely resist while being incognito. But you have to do it locally.
