I’m a leftist student studying Aerospace Engineering and Astrophysics with a special love for sustainability
I love watching the stars at night and thinking about all the secrets they hold.
I’m trans, biromantic, and ace, so I won’t accept hate!
Sometimes I do wish we lived in a simulation so all this shite could be fake.

Prof.: You can have one notes sheet, front and back for the midterm.

Me: What if I really need the Declaration of Independence for this Calc exam? Better write that down, too.

When I started T, they told me I would get acne, which I was fine with because I didn’t care much for my appearance. Little did I know I would start caring about my appearance once I got confident enough to look in the mirror.

A corrupt scientist is payed off by a lawyer, patents an alternative with some guy who thinks his bone matter can cure autism, runs a study with a small and biased sample size, fudges data, fires two experts who don’t say what he wants, etc.

Anti-vaxxers: “I think we can trust this guy”

I’m just waiting for Trump to post about how the pope is a wile leftist Trump-hater after that letter he sent to US bishops and Catholics. I know sweeping it under the rug is a better PR move, but Trump doesn’t seem to care, so there’s a chance.

Conspiracy theory: I have the cilantro soap gene but I actually enjoy the taste of soap.

This ad from Blinkist really highlights Elon Musk’s need for approval as he takes credit for others’ work. He doesn’t actually design and build the rockets, and I hardly believe he actually loves these books. He just picked ones that sound smart. He wants people to think he really earned his wealth.

TIL about posthumous sperm retrieval from Israeli soldiers.
✨The more you know.✨
No, but seriously, caring so much to get back a loved one’s sperm after death speaks to the power of natalist rhetoric and is very reminiscent of some other racist ideas…

Headed into the mosh pit again tonight. Why tf do I like being shoved around by a bunch of sweaty people in a loud room? I’m autistic.

Trump really saw a horrific plane crash and thought, “How can I blame this on minorities and democrats?” If so-called DEI hires weren’t capable of flying planes and are as prevalent as he claims, surely we would see plane crashes all the time.

Every time I see the news, I think, “Wow, for the oldest president to swear in, he sure does move fast.” Do I like his choices? Not at all, but he doesn’t let his age slow him down from making bad decisions!

I only have one white professor in all my STEM classes. It isn’t DEI. They were hired because they know what they’re doing. I can’t stand all this DEI talk because people tend to just assume that any person of color working aren’t actually qualified.

Would like to say that the Electoral College sucks no matter who wins the current popular vote. It has failed in the past and will continue to fail us. I’ve seen far too many Republicans saying that we can’t complain about the Electoral College because Trump also won the popular. Still hate it!

This!! People struggle so much with admitting they’re wrong and the people they support suck! They’ll justify worse and worse behavior until we fall right back in time. We’ve all made excuses for people, and it’s okay to be wrong. The first step to righting the wrong is admitting it.

Things I’m grateful for:
Hot showers and food

Things I’m NOT grateful for:
This -18 feels like -20 air (-28 feels like -29 for the water empaths) that makes my lungs feel full of lava, and I cough uncontrollably every time I breathe too hard. I was just trying to be healthy and run but no. FU wind.

The end of the world has been theorized by nearly every civilization in history. Recently, I found a National Geographic from June 1962, and they boldly claim that the world will end November 13, 2026. Buckle up, guys! <3

As a vegetarian, I relate so hard to celiacs worried their bread is too good. I really want to enjoy a meat-substitute dish, but when it’s too good, I get scared. Is the food really that good or will I be sick tonight because my body no longer knows how to digest meat? Only time will tell…

I’m taking a materials science class this semester that has a pre-lecture quiz, post-lecture quiz, and two pre-lecture videos that go over the info for the lecture.
So…what do we even do during the lecture?? Everything’s already covered.

Climate change refugia are places to which species can migrate as the climate changes. But there is more to anthropogenic effects than climate change, giving rise to the idea of global change refugia.

Global change refugia could shelter species from multiple threats - Nature Reviews Biodiversity
Locations that are relatively insulated from the effects of climate change (so-called climate change refugia) might be similarly insulated from a range of other anthropogenic stressors. The degree of ...

The incoming president of the United States starting a crypto coin is actually the most surprising news of recent history. There is no way he understands anything about the blockchain. I do not envy the intern who had to try to teach him what crypto is.
