I've tried to confirm but have been unable. Its a big variable when trying to determine which sport an athletic department should invest in. If what you say is correct, a FF run in MBB is revenue equivalent to a typical bowl season in football, see Duke last year.

Is the value of an ncaa tournament game the full unit, which is paid by the ncaa over 6 years, at about 350 per OR a one time $350k payment. The full unit value is much closer to $1.8m in total. Is Duke FF run worth just 1.75 or 10.5?

It will be very interesting to see how P4 schools allocate House money. I imagine this is will be FOIA'd at every public school.

yes, the money can just disappear. A better way to think about it is they lost a half a trillion dollars of value. Value is created and destroyed all the time. Rising values is how most money is "created;" think selling a house for more than you paid for it.
