De Wildeman? One of my favourite pubs in Amsterdam. Enjoy!

Sorry to hear about this Robin, broadcasting is weakened by your absence. But I hope you can find another avenue to keep educating and entertaining us.

I've never seen 'excrement' autocorrected to 'excellence' before.

My 12 year old daughter was outraged that her listening age was 59. She blames listening to too many songs from musicals, and specifically 'Sweet Dreams' by Eurhythmics! Odd, given that her usual taste is quite typical for her age (my music is all rubbish, apparently!).

My wife and I are both scientists, but my older daughter was always more interested in humanities, and is now studying Ancient History. I would much rather she studies something she's passionate about and gets a good degree. It's not just vocational training, it's learning to think and analyse.

Knowing a fair few people at University of Kent, I think it's fair to say he wasn't the most popular member of staff. There was a collective sigh of relief when he left

Very sad news 😢

'Mandatory turkey for all': nice to see Reform-aligned journalists have such a well judged finger on the public pulse.

University of Kent breathed a mutual sigh of relief when Goodwin ‘moved on’ from there.

Agreed. I grew up in London in the 70s and early 80s. My memory then was of a grubby city, which felt in need of TLC. The tube tended to be deserted and spooky in the evening, and there was a widespread undercurrent of violence. While it's far from perfect, it now feels like a much more fun city.

That is a disgrace!

Fair point!

A country free of Matt Goodwin and his ilk would be a much better place, so let's hope he keeps his promise on this.

Ah, that great British dish of fish and chips... brought to the UK by Eastern European immigrants in the late 19th century. Consistency and facts are as alien as usual to these creatures. And Canterbury will continue to resist Reform Ltd., I hope.

He asked (demanded, in effect) that my dad watched his kids at a meeting in Prague in the late 60s. My dad had never met him before. Maxwells basically dumped his kids with my dad and marched off.

As a chemistry graduate, I find Badenoch's statement utterly moronic. The country needs people with a wide range of skills and educational backgrounds. If not it would be a poorer and less productive place. And how many of her senior colleagues are humanities grads? Do they agree with her?

The lack of self-awareness, and belief in our inherent stupidity, of these charlatans is staggering.

A classic Reform 'man of the people'!

Tice’s perpetual smirk alone makes him nauseating to me, let alone the garbage that pours from his mouth.
September 26, 2025 at 6:34 PM
Mr Tice clearly knows f$*# all about the circular economy or any sources of energy post-gas. I’m sure his constituents in Lowestoft would be delighted to learn about the job cuts required to roll back from a net-zero focus, balanced only by the new jobs in fracking, and dependence on Russian oil.

Agreed, but an opinion that will receive little or no representation in the 'popular' media, as it doesn't reflect either the slanted views of the editors, or the prevailing message being touted by too many politicians of all political hues.
