Superb evening with that most (un)likely sex symbol Stuart Staples & the sublime Tindersticks. Apparently effortless, but wonderfully pinpoint poised with strings and brass filling out a delicately sinuous sound. Braw to see so many well-kent faces in the queue for the bar

3 months ago I saw Mahmoud Muna in Edinburgh for the launch of ‘Daybreak in Gaza’ chronicling the voices of the dispossessed in Gaza, now he’s been arrested by Israeli Police, citing a single children’s colouring book as evidence of ‘incitement to terrorism’. Very soon we will all be terrorists✊🏽 🇵🇸

Leeds v Cardiff today. 50 years ago dad and a 10 year old me were at Elland Road for the FA Cup🏆 My main memory of the game is at half time a dozen Cardiff fans ran on to the pitch to claim the centre circle; swiftly followed by a swarm of Leeds fans who ‘peacefully ushered’ them off the pitch🤛🏼
