Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card, Volume 1 (2017)

As a fan of the original Cardcaptor Sakura, I’ve been curious to see what CLAMP had in mind for a sequel series. Can’t think of too much to say since it’s only the first volume, but it’s nice to see everyone back and the new card designs look neat.

Deltarune Chapters 3+4 (2025)

Goddamn, were these chapters worth the wait!

I wasn’t crazy about the ranking system in 3 but Tenna was fantastic and I still can’t believe I beat the secret boss!

4 is probably my new favourite chapter for the story, music and general aesthetic of everything in it!

Amanda the Adventurer (2023) and Amanda the Adventurer 2 (2024)

I’ve always been intrigued by analog horror despite not being a big horror fan. The library setting in the sequel was fun to interact with and I’m excited to see what the lore has been building up to in the finale.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom (2024)

Took me a bit to wrap my head around some of the gameplay especially since it’s more puzzle-oriented, but I feel like I adapted pretty quickly. Overall, I’m just happy that Zelda finally has her own game!

RiffTrax Live: Plan 9 from Outer Space (2009)

We have friends we do bad movie nights with and we decided to watch the RiffTrax take on one of the worst movies of all time.

I don’t remember the actual film being all that engaging so it’s great to have comedians chime in to break up the monotony.

Sinners (2025)

Holy crap, did this movie do a good job at covering themes of race and culture under the premise of a vampire movie. So far it’s still the movie of the year for me!

Also, if Michael B. Jordan doesn’t at least get nominated for an Oscar, I’m gonna be pissed!

Airplane! (1980)

This is another comedy where I was familiar with the references but never had the opportunity to watch in full. I can tell that the same people who worked on the Naked Gun movies started with this and I think in some ways they did the parody humour better here.

Blazing Saddles (1974)

I totally get why people wouldn’t be comfortable with how unabashedly offensive this movie is, especially since there are jokes that haven’t aged well. IMO, once you get past how many times they say the N-word, it’s great at mocking the people who throw around racists slurs.

I love how I made Toriel look like messy-hair Hatsune Miku 😂

Post your disappointment in the game of life.

I used to really like Total Drama Island. I kept watching in spite of my gripes with Action but this killed my interest entirely. Aside from meeting my friend @ironbloodaika.bsky.social through the fandom, I don’t look back on the series fondly now.

Spaceballs (1987)

We were on a Mel Brooks kick so I put on the movie that got me into Mel Brooks. I first watched this in Grade 8 and it ended up becoming peak humour to me.

I hope the sequel’s good but I’m not holding my breath.

Thunderbolts* (2025)

It’s no Guardians of the Galaxy but I feel like the focus on the group dynamic, character development, and the way they handled the climax felt like a nice return to form for the MCU.
