I've yet to see it but a friend had and said it's not the Dom-rom-com that it's marketed to be but more of a story that has underlying coercive themes which are strong.

They are sulky whiney dick heads for sure. It's when the female astronaut plot line starts that it gets better.

I found that first series a tough slog, it gets better in the second half and season 2 onwards is just stellar.

I'm pretty sure the reason we don't see a lot of the villains faces bar the scenes with the Computer person is because they ADRd new dialogue over a lot of it. There's so much where you can see behind the shoulder shots where the dialogue seems too crisp.

I don't think it's unreasonable. It's more unreasonable they they've thrown a party and not thought about the noise they might be making.

I watched the first and spent the entire movie trying to think how none of it seemed familiar despite having seen the stage musical before.
It was nice to look at... I just didn't recall any of it to be able to be excited of seeing a movie version of it.

Two that I only discovered were UK/Europe releases that (IMO) improved from the orig that the USA never heard were:

Also Everything But the Girl's 'Missing' (Todd Terry remix)
