Sonic 3 in 1994 was the first game I played! I was 4, and I played with my older brother on the Mega Drive. It is burned into my heart and mind, and I still play it regularly (as recently as last weekend via Sonic 3 A.I.R. on Steam Deck, 30 years on!).

For Nintendo Switch I gotta recommend Mobapad M6 HD Joy-cons.
The D-Pad feels great with lovely clicky, accurate and responsive mechanical switches. It comes with the 8 direction circular pad and traditional d-pad styles in the box, easy to swap out.
