Low and behold, we were sold on the premise that American labor was too expensive. Bullshit. It was just an excuse to rebuild in a cheaper labor market. We were sold out by the new titans of America. And blamed on the American workers who were displaced by building factories overseas.

Let's have a history lesson. WWII American manufacturing ramped to unprecedented levels that lasted through the 1970s. Then the equipment and infrastructures got old and outdated.

Let me rename my robber barons label to self-imposed privileged people.

Sad. I hope that American scientist can reach out to more people and talk. Share your excitement for your field of study. Get us back on track of respect for reaching a common goal of a peaceful and happy life despite our differences.

Just saying, maybe the current societal model has gotten way too specialized and closed to outsiders even if they're interested in the subject matter.
