If you told me Patrick Dumont met Luka and decided he wasn't in the kind of shape he wanted for his star player it would make sense, but we would have heard about it before now IMO if that was the case.

It sounds ridiculous (because it is!) but it’s undeniably true that a very large percentage of the country views the whiniest baby imaginable as the epitome of masculine stoicism.

Which is (another reason) why I get so frustrated at the MattY David Shor view of polling as politics. People often don’t know why they feel a certain way, how are they going to accurately tell a pollster?

That’s why I’ve decided to just tell my deepest darkest secrets to ChatGPT, that’s going to be much healthier.

I’ve already given a fiscally irresponsible amount to some food bank drives this month and was going to pass, but that’s some incredible matching, felt like I had to donate at least a little bit.

Yeah - as a teen I think my nerd friends and I were very clear on the differences of the term ‘race’ in Tolkien/D&D, but some of the people I met in college taught me that it was a really bad idea to use the same term.

As a libCath, I try hard to explain that most priests are (at least publically) in line with traditional Catholic views on abortion, capital punishment, and gender. It's more about emphasis and focus.

I assumed he was describing how Tolkein would see it, this was a pretty standard view for a long time (even though the timelines didn't match!)

As someone who has seen every single version of Robin Hood ever released, I cannot describe my love of Leverage. I know it's as fantastical as LofR, but it's definitely my happy place.

I've had my rant about how the media wouldn't put into news stories what was actually in the IRA deal - lots of reporters acting like it's not their job. But this kind of messaging really needs to be coming from Senate Ds! Even the ones who are doing it (Kaine) suck at it.

Other than being a shitty thing to say, it’s just not true - human’s aren’t diverse at all, a human has more in common genetically with another random human than a dog does with a sibling from the same litter.
Every human alive is your brother or sister, in a very real way.

You're telling me an electorate that had to google why Biden wasn't on the ballet in '24 won't remember the machinations around a CR? Unpossible.

I mean, it's pretty natural with one term governors! No one wants to move from being a governor to the House.

He was never good, but he’s been on 4 hours sleep a night for years now, his brain is cracked in so many ways now he can’t come up with even an okay Tweet anymore.
Good thing he’ll be our first trillionaire!

The only Twitch streamer I watch, I pretty exclusively watch his YouTube videos. So once a month, I join his Twitch stream, give a prime sub, and leave before I hear the thank you. Though it’s differently weird if I happen to watch a video where this happened, though.

I’m like “Chris Van Hollen doesn’t seem that old” and then I looked his age up, he’s 66

Probably not realistic. Plus she’s 76, this ideally should be her last term (but I’m going to be distraught when she’s gone)

I think if we read between the lines of our contemporary and near-contemporary sources it's pretty clear that Qui-Gon Jinn was Anakin's father. The Jedi sources of course won't admit this directly but what they *don't* say makes any other explanation unlikely, to my mind anyway.
