“Russia wants peace.” Just means “Russia wants what it wants, and won’t be peaceful until it gets it.” If peace is found through talks it will be only somehow be found with Putin surrendering before things get worse.

I’ll agree with her that, in terms of job responsibilities, EMS is considerably different than Fire. That said, call volumes are far higher for EMS & considering the staffing issue currently facing it we’ll just have to remain hopeful. So far, things are still brighter with future admin than present

That said, I do not judge the value of words themselves but rather the value & intention of the person/org saying them. Particularly if that person/org aligns heavily in one particular direction. Decision making & beliefs on important topics requires broad research from many sources & considerations

There’s a lot of logical errors and fallacies out there. The only one I can think of off the top of my head(without going through the whole list) is the “Halo Effect” which is evaluating a word positively(or negatively) based on an unrelated attitude towards it.

Mamdani has appointed Lillian Bonsignore as his FDNY Fire Commissioner. She is a 31 year veteran of the FDNY working specifically within & around EMS including as Chief of EMS Operations during COVID in 2019-2022. No explicit statements may have been made, but still hope for good change in EMS pay.

Just as a heads up, the article you linked is from an organization that acts as a religious right-wing-aligned propaganda group. Many current and former political right-wing figures have even been members of the ADF. Be certain you’re researching thoroughly on anything they report.

You seem to be caught up with censorship in a gov/political position. If that’s all you’re speaking on then I largely agree with you - censorship by a gov is only a negative thing.

Fact-checking and content moderation are types of censorship, but censorship in certain contexts isn’t a bad thing. There’s a lot more nuance to the topic than “censorship is for fascists.”
