Well now to write about cups again. Today's 'shape of the day' is the LM IB (c.1600-1400bce) dipped-rim bell cup (illustration Hood 2011)

These are little illustrated, yet a persistent feature. They should be illustrated more as they're interesting. They have a capacity c.120-160ml...

Today I am thinking about tumblers. Although quite common, few are illustrated or described.
They're a taller dipped/monochrome cup with a diameter of about 9cm + capacity 130-200ml.
The two below come from Sinclair Hood's 2011 publication of LM IB pottery from the Royal Road North at Knossos.
