I agree Mark. It’s certainly Farage’s Achilles’ Heel. Supporting Trump & his regime can now be considered anti-British. As soon as Farage comes out of hiding and gets grilled regarding his relationship with Trump, Reform Ltd could be in trouble if he fully supports Trump and tries to defend Russia.

He (Farage), doesn’t want to be questioned about his best friend Trump. He knows Trump is a liability and anti-UK/Europe, therefore Trump can’t be defended without damaging him and his company Reform Ltd. It’s totally at odds with his toxic UK nationalism brand. Vote Reform = vote Trump & Putin.

I detest Trump. But I will give him only one thing, he’s totally transparent. You know what you’re getting when you vote for him.

I agree re: better representation. The move to a good PR system could possibly help stimulate more interest in politics and may increase voter turn out. People shouldn’t have to vote ‘tactically’ for a party they don’t normally support; it’s a salient failure of our current archaic system.

A good text book example of cognitive dissonance. Add this to the many madcap ideas and beliefs of this party and it’s all very worrying.

Disagree.

Well, as you probably can guess, I think the current system needs further improvement.

Secularism is not a religion Robert. It’s a rejection of religion.

A bit obvious, but the message still isn’t getting through. Many people during Covid realised that there was more to life than crappy jobs.

Yes

Excellent advice.

I agree Lewis. It’s a false equivalency allowing such religious based arguments to have such weight in this parliamentary debate and the ultimate decision. This is a secular country and therefore we should be free from such influence - whatever the religion - in the enactment of our laws in the UK.

I was one of those people on that march in 2011. Clarkson’s remarks at the time were thoughtless, vile and a self-serving publicity stunt. It was satisfying to see him fully exposed publicly as a dithering, inarticulate hypocrite. Well done Vic Derbyshire. Enjoyed the podcast.
