The permanence of racism. Nobel Laureate in Literature Toni Morrison (Beloved) raised the issue in her acceptance speech in the 1990’s. I have now lived long enough to see that positive change does not happen where empathy is missing. The passion for healing has to be stronger than hating.

about 30 years ago.
