Normally I would leave pictures I've done in the past as they are, but I've been thinking about working over some landscapes. Honestly it's mostly a format issue. The resolution is tiny and can't be printed out to anything but the size of my hand. Id like them bigger. Canditates are : #art
Cave with glowing particles a d bright luminescent, pink grass. A small stream in the middle. I might remove some of the light in the back to bring the depth towards the middle This guy is a literal sketch. I like the vibes though. I think I want to go back to him and give it some proper attention. And a colour scheme 🙄 I love this one. It has no real path though and the darks are a little to dark and nobody ever notices the waterfall. Irl printed out it's like postcard size. You can't see crap. Only desert I've done so far. I want more sparkles and a higher contrast on the left side. Probably going to lighten the entire thing up. Printed out it's very dark

There are 3 young women in ancient greek clothing. Two are holding bowls, the one in the middle is holding up a round plaque with the Delphi Epsilon carved onto it. In the background there is a smoke and laurel branches. In the front there's a backlit temple (Apollos) ruin and another laurel tree. The oracle of Delphi was more like a job description and the young women were switched out. They would sit on a high chair above a gap in the stone floor and inhale the escaping gasses and fumes from inside the mountains. That would put them into a trance and they would then make their predictions. Sometimes they would just start cramping or having seizures and die though. I read about some scientists having the theory that the trance wasn't caused by the gasses but the gasses would displace the oxygen in the room and cause severe oxygen deprivation, which made them hallucinate, but who knows. In the end I'm sure some guys just wanted to get 3 hot girls wasted and nothing has changed in like 3000 years. Opa!

I honestly liked the temple at night more but it doesn't make much sense. The temple the oracle of Delphi did their thing in was dedicated to Apollo, who is a sun god. I switched to a dark backdrop and sun light in the temple. How it's going : #art #darkart #greekmythology #oracle
Before of the sketch of the temple part. 3 collumns attached to each other at the top and ruins in the background at night. Progress on the ruins. Straightened everything out. Replaced night with sunlight casting shadows from the collumns down the stairs. Added texture to the walls. Blended the scene with the rest by using clouds. I wanted it to look like a vision or a portal to somewhere else. Sketch of a woman as side profile drinking from an ancient greek wine bowl / cup (kylix). She gives the viewer nasty side eye Progress on cup Lady. I reduced the amount of hair she had and added Apollos Lyra as a symbol to her hair accessories. She still gives nasty side eye but you have to zoom in to see it now.

#wip that went from scribbles to old school mystery movie poster pretty quickly. Now I just have to make sure the tentacles turn into smoke, as they should be originally. But I'm pretty happy with the composition.

So I'm in a major slump, which for me means studies. I'm bad with fabrics and folds. I've watched countless videos and there's logic to how fabric behaves but it doesn't come easily to me. Let's hope creativity returns before I burn through 50 of these. #art #goth #study #clothing #darkart
